Welcome to my practice and I am very glad you are here because I specialize in YOU. I utilize personalized precision medicine designed specifically for your genetics and physiology, that have been affected by tick-borne illnesses such as Lyme disease, Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever, Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, Q Fever, Brucella, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever Tularemia, Chlamydia pneumonia, Mycoplasma pneumonia, Herpes viruses, SARS CoV2 infections, mRNA vaccine injuries, Long COVID, Epstein Barr virus, mold illness, mycotoxin exposure, chemical exposure, heavy metal toxicity, SIBO, SIFO, parasites, and a host of other infections that contribute to the development of complex chronic illness.
Complex chronic illness (tick-borne illness, mycotoxin illness, heavy metals, chemical exposure, EMF sensitivity, etc…) is the cumulative result of how these organisms and environmental factors affect YOUR particular physiology and genetic makeup, which is different for everyone. That is why all of you slip through traditional medicine cracks and seek “alternative” healthcare. They can’t put you all into the same box because of the vast variety of symptomatology that you present with. Your unique constellation of symptoms yields a “personal illness thumbprint” which must be treated with personalized, precision, and regenerative medicine techniques to reach a steady state of wellness.
I know this to be true because I am a 24 year survivor of multiple tick-borne illnesses which I contracted from my yellow lab in 2000. I had a heck of a battle when I lost my eyesight in my right eye in 2006 requiring a high dose of Prednisone and IV antibiotics. It was a very scary time and there were very few true Lyme Literate doctors at that time. Nonetheless, I healed and now live a very normal life, with a few relapses here and there when I have had serious accidents or deaths in my family. Generally, these are very manageable with herbs, vitamins, and sometimes antibiotics for a few months.
Your well-being is my primary goal, and I do everything I can to identify the barriers to heal and remove them promptly. Living in the Northwest poses its own set of environmental hazards due to our chronic wet outdoor circumstances. This environment is ripe for mold growth (mycotoxin exposure) which is detrimental to your health and healing. Mycotoxins are immunosuppressive and are hormone disruptors that wreak havoc on your physiology and microbiome. They also cause an increase in the release of histamine which gives rise to MCAS which in turn increases inflammation, the root of ALL evil.
When you choose to work with me, we will become partners in discovering your particular healing path. I listen and honor who you are as an individual which is why I am generally very effective at getting patients well. But the journey requires your participation as well. Treatment compliance, diet, sleep, exercise, and a host of other factors are critically important for your wellness to be achieved and sustained.
Additionally, I routinely work with some of the nation’s best Lyme doctors, scientists, and compounding pharmacists, and I can access their wisdom and insights very quickly by phone call or email. Authentic Lyme literate doctors who have been adequately trained to recognize the nuances and variability of symptom presentation are difficult to come by now because complex chronic illness is so commercialized. This has been made even worse by COVID-19, Long COVID, and vaccine injuries. Therefore, sometimes it takes a highly skilled village of practitioners to identify the pathophysiology of your particular presentation. BEWARE of the disingenuous practitioner who charges exorbitant prices, suggests therapies that lack common sense, and doesn’t perform necessary lab work to document the myriad of issues you may be experiencing.
I utilize an integrated medicine approach to healing which is formulated by the interplay of your desires and needs, and my knowledge of what works to heal from complex chronic illness. I am an “old school doctor” with 25 years of experience (personal and professional), and I take my time to figure out what the barriers to heal are. As a result, we will get to know each other well and hopefully develop a deep trust in each other. When this happens coupled with a STRONG COMMITTED belief that you will get well….miracles happen.
